RAMUN lamps were originally created by the Italian design maestro Alessandro Mendini with the intent to wish eye health and good fortune to his family, in particular to his beloved grandchild.

‘Amuleto’ is the Italian word for amulet, which indicates a wish for eye health and happiness for humanity. Its circular illuminated disk, the middle section, and the base are symbolic of the trinity of the sun, the moon, and the earth, respectively.

RAMUN has obtained RoHS certification that restricts the use of substances harmful to the human body through verification procedures for all parts, and maintains safe electromagnetic wave standards that can be used anywhere in the world by minimizing electromagnetic waves.

Photobiological Safety Certification

Photobiological Safety Certification is a program designed to test the effects on the eyes and skin of the light waves of lighting devices, which pose high risks of retinal damage, cataracts, and skin burn. RAMUN Armlet() lamp has obtained the top certification.

No UV, No IR, No Blue-light Hazard. Flicker Free. Ring-shaped lamp is ideal for eye protection. Inspired by surgical lights, the ring-shaped lamp produces no ultraviolet, no infrared rays and poses no risk of blue light. It is certified Flicker Free and does not get hot. The lamp helps not only the eyes but also the health of the skin.

This Articulation Mechanism is a reproduction of a human’s arm. The Articulation Mechanism, independently developed and patented by RAMUN, can only be realized with nanometer precision work. This mechanism achieves mobility and durability that can be moved with just one finger, and is the essence of a mechanical mechanism in which springs and wires are invisible. Amuleto is a 3-joint structure, and Amuleto Mini is a 2-joint structure.

There are 51 stages of light control which create a light that is optimal for studying, reading, nursing as well as sleeping.
The power consumption of Ramun Amuleto is I /5 of that of conventional light bulbs, which can save electricity, and the LED is an eco-friendly product that can be used for 20 years when used for 6 hours a day. Consumable parts (adapters, electronic parts, etc.) are excluded.

Alessandro Mendini

Alessandro Mendini is an Italian master of architecture and
design, a pioneer synonymous with postmodernism.
Mendini was born in Milan in 1931. He graduated from Po-
litecnico di Milano in 1959 with a degree in
architecture. He was the editor-in-chief of Domus magazine
from 1979 to 1985 and changed the
landscape of modern design through his quintessential works
of postmodernism, such as the Proust Armchair and the
Groninger Museum. Alessandro Mendini
contributed to bringing into the heart of design those values
and sensibilities that have been eclipsed by commercialism
and functionalism. The Groninger
Museum is considered one of the most amazing
postmodern buildings of the late 20th century,
and was also selected as one of the ‘1001 Buildings You Must
See Before You Die.’ Alessandro Mendini was awarded sev-
eral international prizes, including the Compasso d’Oro in
1979,1981 and in 2014.
In 2014, he was awarded with The European Prize for Archi-
tecture by The Chicago Athenaeum and
The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and
Urban Studies.
